Creativity

We’re always creating. Always. All of us. Otherwise, nothing much would happen in our lives.

It’s not some rare gift bestowed only upon a select few. Creativity is not just reserved for artists, authors, actors.

The truth is: we’re all creating our lives, all the time. Whether or not we’re “setting the world on fire,” our thinking dictates our decisions, which literally create our lives and the quality of our lives.

So, you’re creative! Congratulations! You may not have previously thought of yourself as creative, but you most certainly are.

It’s even easy to create. In fact, you cannot not create. It’s harder to create what you want, though. Some things are not under your control, and others you have limited ability to influence.

To create what you want, you have to (1) know what you want or (2) be willing to go on a journey of exploration until you discover what you truly want.

You have the ability to create your life simply by focusing on what you want, instead of focusing on the things you don’t want. This is hugely empowering! To repeat: what you focus on creates the quality of your life.

When we create our lives from a place of personal authenticity, we feel content and find life rewarding. We’re just being ourselves, like a child drawing pictures on the floor. No concern about who’s watching, no expectation of being judged; just the unabashed joy of being in the moment, doing exactly as you please.

If you can develop an authentic vision or mission for your life and live in alignment with it, you’ll be creating a fulfilling life for yourself. If you’re not currently creating what you want, get quiet, listen to your inner voice and embrace the real you, the creative you. Then, hold a vision of what you’ve discovered firmly in your conscious mind and use it as a guiding light for your life.
